Tour de Troit Volunteers, Semester-in-Detroit Blast from Angie’s Past

-Tour de Troit Volunteers

The Tour de Troit is coming up soon, and there are going to be a TON of people riding around Detroit. Over 1001 people have registered, and they are going to need a ton of volunteers.

From their website:

“Tour de Troit keeps growing and, as such, so does its volunteer needs! We are looking for some hands to help with the following tasks:

Registration: 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. You can help out during the pre-ride madhouse, and still ride!

Food Distribution: 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. OR 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Pre-ride needs are for coffee and carbs, post-ride is for more of a meal.

Clean-up: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Best part of this job is finishing the keg.

Sweepers: We need about a dozen more experienced cyclists to join our sweeper squad. You must be able to fix flats and have experience corking.

SAG Vehicle Driver: We need one driver and one van. (We have one van and one driver already.)

There will be a pre-ride meeting for all volunteers the week after Labor Day and a wrap party about a month after the tour. Interested? Contact Bil at info@tour-de-troit.org.”

-Semester-in-Detroit Blast from Angie’s Past

There are certain times where, over the course of historical record, one is able to take a retrospective look at the origins and development of particular nodes that have helped to shape the contemporary trajectory of an organization. Such an engineered introduction could only precede this video from Michigan Today filmed during Angie’s initial involvement with The Hub and Capuchin Soup Kitchen partnership last winter.

How many different faces have you seen around campus here?
