This Wednesday is the first volunteer night of 2010.  I know you’ve been waiting for it.  The first volunteer nights of the month also brings Volunteer meetings.  For those of you that don’t know, volunteer meetings go from 5pm-6pm before regular volunteer night on the first consecutive Wednesday and Thursday of the month.

Phones temporarily down

A quick note to people that have been trying to call the shop. We currently do not have an internet connection at the shop right now. Since our phone service is internet based this means that our phones are also currently down. We should have phone service up and running on December 31st (this Thursday). We apologize for the inconvenience.
If you need to contact us before Thursday feel free to stop by the shop or send us an email.

This week we will be having volunteer night on Wednesday but not Thursday.
Also note that we will be closed this Friday (New Years Day).

Winter commuting tips from Tim

There are many challenges facing you when deciding to keep on riding when the weather gets cold, snowy and icy. You can make more excuses to add to Detroit specific problems of huge potholes, stop sign running drivers and the amount of broken glass and scrap metal that litter our streets. But, it’s still so much more fun getting where you’re going by bike, you just have to prepare for it.
